The List
OOoh the loOong waiting list...
What to bring? What to do next? Where to go?
We started by finding the most suitable luggage. For 2 adults travelling with 6 children aged 12 and below, comfort and practicality were our priorities. We feel most at ease when our children are well looked after, and having at least one hand free to securely hold our youngest daughters, aged 6 and 3, while walking was especially important. This helped them feel safe and reassured throughout their first overseas trip, allowing them to enjoy the experience...

...so we opted for a 28" luggage, an 18" luggage, a foldable bag (without wheels), a foldable bag with removable wheels, and a hand-carry backpack for each family member. The children's backpacks were packed with their water bottles and a few disposable activities and essentials to keep them occupied during the journey.
This was arranged intentionally so leaving some space in their backpacks, as they would eventually be filled with souvenirs and shopping items by the end of the vacation.

All of the clothing mentioned in our things-to-bring list above was packed inside a vacuum zip bags in various sizes and fit neatly into our 28" luggage. We were able to fit all the clothing needed for the first 7 days of our trip. After that, we did our laundry either at a nearby self-service laundromat, and using the washer/dryer provided in our Airbnb apartment, allowing us to comfortably manage packing for the entire 12-day journey without bringing excessive luggage..
The remaining items were packed into the 18" luggage. Our foldable bag (without wheels) was dedicated to swimming essentials, including swimwear, goggles, floaties, and slippers or sandals, making them easily accessible whenever needed during the trip - it has the ability to slot securely onto the handle of our 18" luggage, making it much easier to move around, especially when travelling with a large family.
As for our foldable bag with removable wheels, it was folded and packed inside our 18" luggage at the start of the trip. Its purpose was to store dirty laundry throughout our journey, and after each round of washing, it was used to hold our shopping purchases and souvenirs for the trip home.
Keeping it real short, here here here.. shortening the search. CHECKED the "been there, done that", yipEeee, LET'S GO!
