TRUE EVENT:
Just as they began to overcome several life challenges, another struck—leaving them unable to earn a living as they once did.
They recently lost their only means of transportation, which was also used to carry essential goods they sold door to door to earn a living. The goods were stolen along with the vehicle, leaving them with no income and no way to recover what was lost.
They have already been living with the bare minimum—stretching every resource just to get by. This latest setback has left them with almost nothing.
Although the theft was reported to the police, the process in Indonesia is very different from countries like Singapore. To even begin tracking the stolen items, they are required to pay a searching fee, and even then, there’s no guarantee of recovery. With no funds to spare, the family cannot afford to take that risk.
We’ve been offering them moral support to keep their spirits up and encourage them not to give up. Now, we’re reaching out to kind-hearted individuals who may be willing to support them by purchasing the items listed here.
Our goal is to raise $1,500 - $2,000 to help them get back on their feet and return to earning a living on their own.
With this goal, they will be able to buy a new mode of transportation with a more secure lock and restart their small business of selling home essentials door to door within their village, so they can earn a better income to pay their home mortgage, support a family of five, and provide a minimal living for themselves.
Your support—no matter how small—can help restore hope and provide a real chance for this family to rebuild their lives.
As One Ummah, we can help a family one at a time.
Jazakumullahu Khayran (May Allah reward you with goodness, Aamiin ya rabbal alamiin) for all your generosity, Aamiin ya rabbal alamiin ~
