Sahih al-Bukhari 5893 - Narrated Ibn 'Umar: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Cut the moustaches short and leave the beard (as it is)."
Sahih Muslim 260 - Narrated Abu Huraira: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Trim closely the moustache, and grow beard, and thus act against the fire-worshippers."
Sahih al-Bukhari 5923 - Narrated 'Aishah: I used to perfume Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) with the best scent available till I saw the shine of the scent on his head and shine beard.
Mishkat al-Masabih 4486 - ‘Ata’ b. Yasar told that when The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was in the mosque a man whose head and beard were dishevelled entered, and Allah's Messenger pointed his hand at him as though he were ordering him to arrange his hair and his beard. When he had done so and returned, Allah's Messenger said, “Is this not better than that one of you should come with his head dishevelled, as though he were a devil?” Malik transmitted it.
Sunan Abi Dawud 145 (Grade: Sahih, Al-Albani) - Narrated Anas ibn Malik: Whenever the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) performed ablution, he took a handful of water, and, putting it under his chin, made it go through his beard, saying: Thus did my Lord command me.
